CP-PWR-CUBE-3 Product Description

The Cisco CP-PWR-CUBE-3 provides AC power to the Cisco 7900 series IP phone. The CP-PWR-CUBE-3 is identical to the CP-PWR-CUBE but is also compatible with all Cisco IP phones including the color screen IP phones (CP-797x) and the newly released CP-7961G and CP-7941G models.

The CP-PWR-CUBE-3 is the replacement model for the CP-PWR-CUBE-2.  When Cisco released newer versions of IP phones such as the CP-7941G, CP-7961G and CP-7971G in 2006 it began using this power supply.  This power supply provides cleaner power to the phone and uses a longer plug to insert into the back of the phone. It can be distinguished from the first generation power cubes because the tip of the power insert is black instead of the traditional yellow.

Please note: For some reason Cisco is does not consistently require Delta Electronics to place the Cisco Systems logo on the CP-PWR-CUBE-3. Cisco outsources the production of the CP-PWR-CUBE-3 to Delta Electronics, sometimes they arrive to us from Cisco distribution with Cisco logos and sometimes they do not. Obviously this is beyond our control. If you receive a CP-PWR-CUBE-3 from us and it does not have a Cisco logo, please refer to the Cisco part number located on the label.
