The Grandstream HandyTone-496 (ATA-496)
received the Best of Show award at the 2005 Internet
Telephony Conference & Expo in Miami for its superb sound quality and open
standards. The ATA-496 has
two FXS ports and two Ethernet (RJ45) ports which allow you to connect an analog telephone or fax machine and a PC to an Ethernet network.
The ATA-496 has a built in router, NAT, DHCP (client and server)
and features gateway and DMZ port forwarding. You can configure the
ATA-496 through a web
interface, an built-in IVR or it can be
can be configured via a central configuration
file which eases multiple installations. The HandyTone-496 uses powerful
Digital Signal Processing (DSP), advanced adaptive jitter control and
packet loss concealment technology to achieve
the highest sound quality. the ATA-496 reduces the cost of deploying your Voice over IP
network by simplifying the
installation process and protecting your investment in analog equipment.
