The Polycom 560 provides leading edge features such as Polycom's high definition wide band audio and Polycom's Acoustic Clarity Technology for unrivaled call quality. It is an ideal phone for office workers, executives and professionals with medium to high call volume. The 560 supports powerful networking features such as dual gigabit Ethernet ports and built in IEEE 802.3af power over Ethernet for high speed network connectivity and increased flexibility. The dual gigabit Ethernet ports can be utilized by the connected PC or the phone itself to deliver high speed access to to network intensive applications.
The built in dual port gigabit Ethernet switch allows your phone and computer to share a single network connection - both the phone and the connected computer can run at gigabit speeds. The built in IEEE 802.3af power over Ethernet eliminate the need for an external power supply reducing cable clutter and allow the phone to be powered in the event of power failure. Simply put a battery back up system on the power over Ethernet switch that is connected to the phone.
