The Vega 50 6x4 enables enterprises and service providers to connect
sites with a legacy of mixed analog and digital applications to the IP
network via a single, cost effective and manageable The Vega 50 6x4
connects a range of legacy telephony equipment, including PBX's, ISDN
telephones, ISDN, analog phones and the PSTN to IP networks.
The Vega 50 6x4 gateway
connects a range of legacy telephony equipment, including PBX's, ISDN
telephones, ISDN, analog phones and the PSTN to IP networks. The Vega
50 6x4 supports up to 24 analog ports, up to 16 basic rate ISDN
channels on 8 interfaces or a mixture of port types and capacities.
The Vega50 6x4 is factory configured in a number of different
configurations, other configurations are available to special order. The Vega50 4 FXO is an available standard configuration with 4 FXO ports derived from the Vega50 6x4.
Open, Non Proprietary Interfaces
The Vega 50 6x4, when fitted with BRI modules, supports ETSI BRI. The
Vega 50 6x4 gateway has proven interoperability with a wide range of
existing telecommunications and and VoIP equipment.
All Vegastream gateways can support SIP, H.323 and T.38 fax.
The gateways can be configured for different country requirements, such
as tones and line impedance.
Lifeline PSTN Backup
All variants equipped with any number of FXS ports are also fitted with
two FXO ports. The 2 FXO ports provide a hard-wired bypass to allow
local PSTN calls to be made under power or IP failure conditions.
VegaStream gateways enable enterprises to reduce PSTN call
charges and consolidate voice and data facilities, such as leased
lines. They provide a cost-effective solution to connect remote sites,
home-users and tele-workers into the overall enterprise network in
